Another week has just flown by and the weekends are never long enough. Saturday we had the opportunity to visit many local and family owned businesses. Our daughter was competing in the Copper State Classic Ice Skating Competition, so we started with a quick lesson at AZ ICE in Peoria. We continued on to AZ ICE in Gilbert where she competed. (She won 1st place in her category) This was a well run competition and the girls she competed against were very supportive of each other. Ice skating brings together a nice group of people from all over the state.
Gilbert is a great local community that has a hometown feel. Our celebratory lunch was at Joe’s Farm Grill, a restaurant that offers a menu of healthy ingredients mostly made from scratch. Their cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings, and zucchini were given big thumbs up by our family. Next stop was Fluff It Marshmallows; this is a family owned business that specializes in fantastic marshmallow desserts. From frozen drinks to all kinds of different flavors of marshmallows served in many different ways. We will definitely be visiting these places again and again! APPEARANCES MATTER As new customers to these many different types of businesses we were influenced by the neat and tidy way that these places represented themselves. Many were decorated in unique and welcoming ways that only enhanced our visit. Whether your business is located in a strip mall, office complex, or stands alone, a clean, healthy environment should be top priority. It makes the whole experience that much better and shows that you value your employees and customers. New customers form their first impressions of your business within 30 seconds of entering your place of business. Most often they start even before entering the building. Many customers relate the outside appearance to the quality or service being offered inside. ROUTES ACROSS TOWN We drive many different routes throughout our work week and make many stops along the way for work. If you would like to know if we can include your business as one of them, please call Ron and ask him. He would be happy to help you with your cleaning needs. THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS We were excited to be able to visit Gilbert and these wonderful businesses. Small businesses give back more to their community. These thoughts and opinions are our own. We are not representing them in any way. We hope everybody has a productive Monday and rest of the week and if you get the chance to visit any of these places, be sure to stop by.

Happy Friday! Also, Happy Cinco de Mayo and Cinco de Drinko because Starbucks has their bogo going on this week.
Guardians of the Galaxy started last night and one of the perks of owning your own business is that you can take a couple of hours off to see a movie. Another perk is that you get to be the boss just like the Starlord in the movie. Our crew is just like the Guardians of the Galaxy, maybe we don’t fight off bad guys or drive space ships recklessly but protecting our environment through green cleaning sounds pretty important too. By using supplies and techniques that are environment friendly we are ensuring that our planet will be around a while longer for the the Starlord and his crew to protect. Maybe don’t hire the Guardians of the Galaxy to clean your office but us, the Guardians of Green Cleaning. Have a great weekend! (Disclaimer: we are not sponsored by or involved in the movie at all we just like it) REASONS TO USE LOCALLY OWNED BUSINESSES
All businesses had to start somewhere. If you have ever been in the position of trying to start your own business, then you know how hard it is just to make ends meet sometimes. Most big brand name businesses have the advantage of ongoing support and training. The head office has the resources of market research and advertising. Occasionally we are all lured by cheaper prices and the convenience of big name brands. Instead of using a large franchise that offers indifferent service, why not use a local service that offers a personal touch in a professional manner. Independent owners are allowed to be creative with what they have to offer. They don’t fit you into a little box with set rules. They can offer your business an array of services that suit your unique needs. It’s easy to forget how important small independent businesses are to our collective well being. They provide jobs and support local charities that keep the local profits circulating instead of enriching distant organizations and their stock holders. They recycle the dollars back into the community. PRICE COMPARISONS Using a local service doesn’t have to cost more. Local businesses work hard to keep their prices competitive. Small businesses are usually more receptive to personalize the services you need – just ask them. BUILD A BETTER WORLD In this computer driven world isn’t it nice to have a personal experience with a real person that makes you smile? Quite frequently the person you are dealing with is the owner of that business. When you shop locally you are helping either a local business store or service and therefore the community you live in. Don’t let big businesses take over our entire world. Hope you have a great Wednesday! Only 2 more days to go until the weekend! TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
Waking up early and getting up seems to be the key so you don’t feel rushed or stressed out before you even start your day. Ha! I once read a saying that goes something like this: “the earlier I get up the behinder I get.” This makes total sense to me as I tend to dawdle if I have too much time, then I end up rushed anyway. So, I might as well stay in bed for a few extra minutes. Being well rested will probably work out better as the day goes on. TOXIC PEOPLE Avoid negative people when you are trying to have a good day. You know who they are! Don’t let them bring you down. Everybody has their moments, some just more than others. They seem to thrive on making others as miserable as they are, and it seems that they magically feel better and you feel worse. Don’t obsess about what they have to say, always have something to look forward to so you can focus on that instead. TAKE IT EASY If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, take a few moments to yourself. Reschedule appointments or projects to another day if possible. Spend time with people you enjoy, even it is just a small break or maybe lunch together. You could even step outside for a few minutes and enjoy the flowers or the birds singing. Anything to help you relax for a moment, regroup, and finish the rest of your day. FIT IN A WORKOUT Exercise can improve your mood. It releases endorphins that make you feel good. Running, biking, are fantastic as well as yoga and pilates. I never look forward to any of these, but I do feel great after I’m finished. BE GRATEFUL Sometimes we can’t dictate our own schedule. Take a deep breath and focus on the important things. Surround yourself with people who can help you out. WHAT CAN WE DO FOR YOU TODAY If going to work and having to clean up before even starting your day is getting you down. Call us – you don’t have to handle the clean up yourself. We have the equipment and knowledge to handle it. NOW ENJOY YOUR DAY! It’s a perfect time for a fresh start. First day of May, which has a couple of holidays we can all look forward to. Mothers Day falls on May 14, 2017. It’s kind of a silly holiday, but I always enjoy spending time with my family. Memorial Day falls on Monday (Yeah, a great day to have off!) May 29, 2017. Cinco de Mayo is also this Friday, who doesn’t like chips and salsa, or a cold margarita to celebrate the end of the week?
BEING PRODUCTIVE Visualize a good day – picture good things that can happen today to start your day off right. You can start with breakfast, are you planning to have a healthy breakfast of egg whites and spinach or maybe fruit and yogurt. Do you go for the more hearty meal of waffles or pancakes? Keep your thoughts positive and think about what you would like to accomplish by the end of the day. Your appearance can have a lot to do with how your day goes. Certain clothes or shoes can make you feel powerful, as if you are ready to take on the world. A good hair day also helps! FOCUS ON THE MOMENT Attitude can make a huge difference in your day, week, or month. You have to believe that you are going to have a good day. Focus on the moment; try not to worry about the past or the future. Appreciate the good things that are happening now. MAKE A TO-DO LIST The idea of getting all of your tasks done means best day ever. Don’t overdo it, focus on the important projects and put them order of how you want to get them done. I love crossing things off my list, I write down every little thing so I can later cross them off. Whatever it takes to make you feel accomplished! Don’t obsess. If one of the things on your list is to look for a cleaning service or hire a new one. Contact us, we can help! IT’S MONDAY – DON’T FORGET TO BE AWESOME! |
