After 37 years in business, we have seen a little bit of everything....
Rest assured that we don't clean and tell either! We take pride in the fact that our company is thorough, dependable and affordable. Your place of business is not going to clean itself and sometimes work is just too busy for someone to do the regular cleaning. CALL US - We would love to talk dirt with you.

Summer is officially over, even though the temperatures say different. School has started and it's time to navigate new daily schedules. Our youngest daughter has started college at a state university and I hope and pray that it is a positive experience for her, and that she makes many great new friends. Isn't this something we all wish for our kids since they started kindergarten and preschool?
As we are supporting (literally!) a local university we are thankful for the many of you who choose to support a small local business. You're not helping a C.E.O. buy a third holiday house, you are helping support a little girl with ice skating lessons. Sports equipment and a team jersey for a young boy. Tuition and books to make a dream come true. Or maybe to put food on someone's table. Whatever your reason for using a small business, or shopping at a local store. You are awesome and we all gratefully appreciate it and hope you continue to do so. Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday. Do you believe you were built for the job that you are doing?
I like to think that we were built to run a a great business, not to dust and clean toilets. I suppose attitude has a lot to do with it. We are good at what we do, we have persistence to continue doing it for the last 37 years. There are many perks to owning your own business, and many downsides. Such as not having the time to take a longer vacation, because people notice when the owner is gone and then they complain. Then you could be in jeopardy of losing a client. We train our employees well, but sometimes we all forget the little things. More, more, more And it seems sometimes that the more you give, the more clients take advantage of you. Where do you set your boundaries as to how much time you can spend doing someone a favor for free? How often does that favor seemingly work into your regular routine? In a perfect world - everyone would be treated equally. Any job that you do or people do for you would be appreciated. I don't usually complain about being a business owner, but some days you can wake up with more anxiety than excitement for starting your day. The weather is hot and miserable outside, and many of our clients turn off the air conditioning after their workday, making it even harder for us to move in a building without any air flow. So sometimes we do tend to move a little quicker inside a hot office. Fight to keep going Some days we have to keep going and get out of our own heads. Come out of your comfort zone and go after what you want and need to keep your business going. Do it now Sometimes Later becomes never... You need a janitorial service - We need more business....Let's do this! Don't let Tuesday pass you by. Have a terrific day Coffee
A new friend Some noise Jokes A difference Time for what matters Have a wonderful Wednesday! Monday can be the most stressful and dreaded day of the week. You may be facing a negative work environment or a yucky boss or co-workers. Back to work time is never pleasant.
Monday can also be a day of new starts and beginnings. The possibilities of what you can get done are endless. You can look back with satisfaction if you begin the week with momentum (and coffee) and will be pleased with all your accomplishments. Start with a positive attitude and achieve your goals. List or no-list, you can set your intentions for the next hour, day or week. It is up to you how much you would like to accomplish. I started today with an early yoga class. It helps set my mind and gives me the energy to use throughout my day. Little things that you do every day can make a big difference. Remember that whatever you get done today, you don't have to do tomorrow. So, if you are starting out your Monday not being rich or famous, I hope that your coffee is strong, your day short and your accomplishments huge. Happy Monday! Have you ever been in one of those moods when you don't really know what's wrong, but you feel irritated with everyone and everything?
I feel as though I have spent the better part of June in some kind of tooth pain. I had a root canal this week and after I don't know how many pain pills and x-rays later, I feel ready to have some fun. Or at least put the distractions of three separate dentists behind me. Have you ever noticed how medieval some dental equipment appears to be? I had my eyes tightly shut, and could hear and feel some the same things I felt as a kid getting dental work done. And what is with that "tarp" they have to stretch across your mouth? Remember that businesses are not run by robots. Real people feel real emotions and don't have switches that turn off these feelings. So, occasionally successful people and businesses go through some hard times. They don't always have the capacity to not be distracted by trivial or irrelevant things that don't apply to business. Everybody gets stuck sometimes. Do Your Best Try to stay focused and stick with your priorities and goals (not on the amount of money you spent on one tooth that could have bought the new kitchen appliance that you need to replace!) Take the right steps to get back to and reach your goals, don't let setbacks take you to far off course. Persist to overcome failures and allow patience to help you overcome hurdles that stand between you and your goals. Distractions will always be in your way, it's how you deal with them that will allow you to bounce back to your original wonderfully creative self. Although I have tried to develop my mental toughness, I have spent the better part of the last week in agony. Starting late on a Saturday night, I developed a tooth ache that just would not quit. A few calls into our dentist on Sunday went unanswered until we called the office on Monday morning. A quick trip into his office confirmed that I had an abscessed tooth, which by then had me looking pretty swollen and red. I was put on an antibiotic and pain killers which did little at the time as I did not respond to this particular medicine. I was counting the hours in which he said I should feel better, when that time came and went we called their office and he changed to a stronger antibiotic which seemed to start working late the next day. (Don't even ask me how my stomach feels!)
I was also given the bad news that because this tooth had a crown on it, he would have to refer me to a specialist. It seems as though nobody does an entire job by themselves anymore! We did our research and found someone who was nearby and and their website stated he did this kind of procedure. We even questioned them when we called. Two x-rays later he let me know that he couldn't do this either, but he did charge me $106 to confirm what I already knew. The first impression of this office and of this dentist left a bad taste in my mouth(pardon the pun), and I will not ever return to his office. Sad that they resort to lying in order to get more business. I have checked for dental insurance multiple time throughout our years of being self-employed and have always found it lacking. Needless to say, we have been quoted anywhere from $1050.00 to over $2,500.00 for this procedure. But, only around $150 to have the tooth pulled. They are definitely taking advantage of their expertise by functioning like a business who actually cares about the well being of people in general. Have you noticed that there seems to be a dentist office in every shopping center and office park? I think there might be more of them then Starbucks! In looking for any kind of service, it is important to be professional about what you do. Put your customers at ease with the job that you are advertising for, and do it correctly and efficiently. Don't cause more unnecessary pain. Small acts of kindness can have a ripple effect. Think of all the little things that you have done that made someone smile.
Such as, holding the door for the person behind you. Pick up a piece of trash, if everybody did this just once a day think of how much nicer our city would look. Return a shopping cart, this could mean a few extra steps on your fitbit and a few less minutes out in the heat for the store employee. Tip you server, they aren't waiting on you because they enjoy it! Let someone in your lane. When I read this one I had to make a face, the way people drive in the Phoenix area is ridiculous lately. Everyone is driving faster than usual, except for the people in the very front of a pack of cars. So, maybe I will try to do this tip once a day, or maybe once a week. Baby steps, maybe it will catch on and the road will be a happier place!? Are there any other small ways that you can think of to make the world a better place? I'm sure there is something I'm forgetting/ Have a fun and relaxing weekend everybody! Is your workplace or office looking old and feeling inefficient?
Do you want to do business with a company that looks and smells like they don't have any pride in their place of work? Starting at the entry way, you can usually tell if people want to make a good first impression. Customers, clients and even the employees don"t want to be there. Awaken your potential. If your workplace is unique, call us we can custom clean almost anything. As the month of May winds down, I reflect back on how busy this month has been. Our youngest daughter graduated from high school this week. This was a very emotional and happy time for our family. Pep talks to get her through pre-calc finals, coffee runs to keep her focused. Clothes shopping to find the perfect dress for graduation, and let's not even mention the endless shoe shopping. We purchased three pairs of shoes, some that looked great with the first dress, while others we bought were perfect for the second dress. When it came time for the commencement ceremony itself, her perfect dress was covered up by her gown! But, her shoes looked gorgeous...
Although she does not wish to follow in the family business, I think she has learned a few things about being your own boss, such as ambition. She set her sights high in order to receive a 4.0 grade average - and she did it! In order to survive in any business, you must be industrious, she is extremely hard working and diligent in order to get things done. Her enthusiasm is contagious as she sets forth to conquer the world. Keeping it local...She has chosen to attend an AZ State University in the fall. She received several scholarships from various schools in different states. But, as we all know "a full ride" comes with many hidden charges and fees. Our locally owned janitorial service allowed us to send all three of our girls to college. We have had many struggles along the way and expect to pay for college tuition for many years to come. We will strive to stay focused, sticking to our priorities and goals and hopefully have some fun along the way. |
