Last week my husband (The "R" of R&S Commercial Cleaning Service) let his seasonal allergies go until they became a full-fledged sinus infection. Since we are in the midst of training a new hire, I offered to go into work with him to help him out. I generally get up around 5 or 6 in the morning due to many years of getting kids off to school and early morning ice skating lessons. So, needless to say working nights is really not my thing!
Janitorial work is very hard, monotonous and extremely warm when you are moving quickly, because many offices turn off their A/C units or turn them up during the night time hours to save money. (Imagine being in your place of work with little or no air movement.) Even though we started this business together 36 years ago, he is still a very hard working part of the everyday cleaning. And though I still have my skills as a cleaner (a little rusty, however) he is annoyingly meticulous with every detail of cleaning. It's no secret that everyone and their brother-in-law thinks they can clean. But, to put in this hard of work requires a lot of hard work and a little luck. Persistence, perseverance and determination are all part of our everyday work ethic. Hard work seems to be dying art form! But, if you want a janitorial service with an owner who is accommodating, pleasant and very picky to detail, Ron is the right one to call.

With Mother's Day fast approaching (This Sunday!) I thought I would share some funny quotes that never get old.
Nothing is lost unless mom can't find it. (So true) Your mother made you who you are. Do you ever open your mouth and your mother comes out? ( I hate it when that happens!) Keep in mind that it is not easy being a mother - If it was, more father's would do it! A favorite of mine: Because I said so, that's why. If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. Would your mother approve of how clean your workplace is? Remember that your mother was right about everything! Happy Mother's Day to ALL of the moms out there. We hope you have a fun and relaxing day spending it with your adoring children. Take a gamble on trying us out, you have nothing to lose.
No long term contracts unless you ask for one. You can always add or subtract services to suit your needs. Don't fold on the cleanliness of your business. Using a company that has been in business for 36 years is not a long shot. Give your workplace the inside edge on being neat, clean and green. You set the limit on what you can spend. We bet you will be pleased. Book your appointment today. We are not quite like Amazon or Walmart where you put items in your cart and have them delivered; you are able to pick and choose what services you do wish to receive and you can take out or add services any time you want.
You can go for the regular daily clean that includes: the thorough cleaning of restrooms and lunch rooms, the emptying of the trash, floors vacuumed and mopped, and flat surface dusting. You can also walk all the way to the back of the store and add items such as carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing and waxing, and window/blind cleaning. Break it down to be included with your monthly service or make it a one time cost each time you need it. The freezer or cold section can include having your refrigerator cleaned out on a regular basis. In the paper goods section you can select for us to pick and bring items such as toilet paper, multi-fold towels and hand soap to you. ( We charge the cost of item plus 10% for pick up and delivery) The fruits and vegetables section includes green cleaning which helps keep our environment clean and safe to grow these healthy items. In cosmetics you can add face value to your work space. Your work space was already valuable but with a few natural products and hard work you can turn your work space into a red carpet look that would make the Met Gala attendees jealous. If you are already a big Star Wars fan, you are aware that today is "May the Fourth be with you day". This started out as a way for Star Wars fans to celebrate with other fans around the world. Why not take this special day to celebrate a galaxy far, far away?
There is no wrong way to celebrate: you could have a movie marathon day, speak Wookie to your fellow space nerds or perhaps cook up some mouth watering treats. Imagine if your boss came in dressed as Darth Vader... Does your workplace have a "casual dress Friday? You could bring out your storm trooper costume and put new batteries in your light saber. And who doesn't like to make that "pew, pew" sound as you take out your fellow employees? A weekend to celebrate Don't forget that Saturday is Cinco de Mayo! Break out the margaritas and nachos and have a wonderful weekend. Did we even get any rain in April? Crazy weather seems to be everywhere this year.
Have you noticed a yellow wave of all the flowers blowing off the blooming desert trees rolling down the roadways? All the trees, grasses and weeds pollinating are releasing small particles in the air that will fertilize all the plants in the spring. Too bad we have to suffer for it. Wind, dust and pollen are behind all those constant sneezes, runny noses and itchy throats. Sneeze no more Does a pile of crumpled tissues get you down? You can still enjoy the bright flowers and singing birds, just do a little more maintenance to keep the bad stuff outside. The best way to calm those allergy symptoms is to avoid contact with the allergens, Keep doors and windows shut at home and at the office. (I know electric bill are high, but so are doctor visits and medication!) Change your clothing and wash your hair at night to get rid of pollen that has settled on you. Changing air filters on a regular basis can also help. Hire a cleaning service or have the one you already have wipe down all flat surfaces with a damp cloth instead of feather dusting during this time of year. It's also helpful if they use a vacuum with multiple filters. How to cope with your dog's seasonal allergies On a side note, I have noticed that our dogs seem to be suffering from allergies more this year. The sneezing and snuffling (reverse sneeze) sound when you're sleeping is almost as bad as the sound they make before they barf! I gave both of our dogs a bath and washed their bedding, this helped immensely. In between baths, I spray their bedding with a quick spritz of vinegar and water every few days and run it quickly through the dryer. You can also make up a little spray bottle with a dry shampoo mixture out of household products that you have on hand. (Check Pinterest) Wipe or brush them down and hopefully you can both sleep better at night. I am not a vet, I am just offering a few simple solutions that have worked for us to help your furry pets (and you) sleep better at night so you can have a productive day at work. Have a pleasant Tuesday, and if you find yourself in need of a cleaning service that WILL wipe down the flat surfaces for you, call us! |
