Keeping a home with pets is a constant cleaning process. And many offices now allow our best friends to come to work with us. Here are some helpful, natural cleaning solution's to get you through some smelly or hairy situations at home and at the work.
Trying to avoid products that can be potentially harmful to you and your pets is easier then you think. Most of the products are cheap and easy to pick up at most stores. Accidents and simple spills Baking soda works great on spills on the carpet. Just sprinkle a little on the spot, let it sit for about an hour, then vacuum it up. Club soda also works quickly on getting wetness to bubble up so you can lightly scrub it lightly and soak it up with paper towels. Vinegar and water are handy to keep in spray bottle to deodorize areas. Two cups of water to one tablespoon of white vinegar. For messy hard floors you can combine 1/2 cup of white vinegar, 1/2 cup of lemon juice to a bucket of hot or warm water and mop those pet stains that you missed while they were wet. We have a new puppy in the house so I am using these methods frequently. Just when I think we have this outside business down, I sleep in an extra 10 minutes and we have to start all over again. Aww... the joys of pet ownership! Smelly pet beds and blankets Sprinkling baking soda on your dog or cat beds and letting it sit for at least 15 minutes before you vacuum it up will help get rid of the smell. ( This works in cars and on furniture also) Baking soda sprinkled in your kitty litter also helps with eliminating odor. Does anyone else buy the big 15 pound bag of baking soda at Costco? I use it for everything from the pool to the pets! Just be sure to get a shopping cart when you need it, that's a lot of bulk packed in that little bag. One of those days... You got up late and just don't have time to wash your hair so you pull out your dry shampoo in a can. (This stuff works great!) Here is a simple solution for your pets on those days that they could use a little refresh without hauling them into the bathtub. Sprinkle a mixture of baking soda and baby powder onto their coat and brush them until it's gone. (This would probably work for humans too if your out of dry shampoo?!) For the globs of hair that our cats leave behind on furniture, a simple cheap pair of rubber gloves works fantastic. Just roll up the hair and remove. I store these under cushions or in areas where the critters leave behind the most hair for a quick clean up. Pets bring so much into our lives that we couldn't live without them. But, having a good broom, dust pan and vacuum are essential to pet ownership. Our dog's constantly show us how much they love the toys we bring them by shredding them all over the house. (And I do mean ALL over the house!!) I hope these few simple solutions make your lives easier, and by using natural cleaning products we won't hurt the environment, ourselves or our furry friends. Let us know if you have any tips or tricks that work with your pets. We are always looking for quick and easy solutions so we have more time to play ball!

All offices are not alike!
Some require little vacuuming, but need their floors mopped on a daily basis... or vice versa. Do you have a lot of glass or tile floors that need attention. And dust...Every place in Arizona has dust! Does your office need an uninterested third party to throw everything out of the refrigerator on Friday so the fridge doesn't smell on Monday? Or maybe you just need a general clean one, two, three, four or five days a week? Whatever your workplace needs, choose someone to look out for your best cleaning interests, choose a team that is dedicated to keeping your office green, clean and healthy. We can help you with set up a recycle and re-use program if you are interested. We use Eco-friendly solutions that are green seal approved. We are always learning of new ways to keep you healthy and help the environment. Need your LEED points in cleaning? We can help with that too. Don't stay late at the office cleaning. Enjoy the sounds of summer, like children running, playing and laughing as the sun sets on these long days. Enjoy a great barbecue with family and friends. Maybe watch the Diamondbacks slug a few baseballs at the ballpark. While the temperatures are rising, this is a good time to slow down a little and enjoy life at a slower pace. Learn from the kids and just sit back and relax a little or see how big of splash you can make doing a cannonball into the pool like you used to. (It's actually quite fun and surprises the people around you!) Did you know that watermelon is one one of summer's favorite treats? Along with snow-cones and s'mores. These taste just as good as adults! What is your favorite snow-cone flavor - red, blue or purple or a mixture of all of them? ( I know that these aren't actual flavors - but it's still fun to say!) On those really hot summer days, it's a good time to finish up home improvement projects that you have been putting off. Use your imagination and try something new. Challenge yourself to find something fun in every day. Be sure to use plenty of sunblock, stay hydrated and enjoy the First Official Day of Summer! Do these words drive you as crazy as they do me?
As if I don't have enough to think about without having to remind someone else...again! (They actually should be thankful that I remembered to remind them in the first place!) I'm sure successful and organized people keep detailed lists. Imagine how good you would feel if you could cross everything off your list for the day. Traditional or Unconventional What kind of list keeper do you want to be? Do you leave messages on your phone or email? Maybe a cute notepad. Chalkboards are handy, but if you are erasing after you're done then you can't keep track of all that you accomplished. There will be days that you can hurry thru all of your tasks and others that will take days to complete. On some days you might even get some freebies - something you hadn't planned on doing but needed to be done anyway. ( I jot these down on my list and cross them off also..I like feeling a sense of accomplishment!) Challenge yourself to cross off as much as possible in a day. But, don't let the day get too intense that you forget to add in "me" time. Tell us how many lists you keep. Are they exclusively yours or can any one work on your chores? Do you do it by the day, week or whatever? Are there separate lists for each store you need to shop at? Do you number the list by importance of the task? If you are a business owner in the Phoenix area, #1 on your list should be to hire R & S Commercial Cleaning Service! Just think of all the of all the cleaning tasks that you can knock off your list! Things need to get done and you don't want to do it yourself. You are probably overwhelmed with the running of your business and all the information out there regarding cleaning services.
You've probably seen dust collecting in corners and on your flat surfaces. In Arizona it just seems to come with the territory when we go weeks and months without rain. Although we look for the easier and faster solutions for your dust problems, sometimes it simply takes a damp cloth to collect the dust and keep it from landing somewhere else. Running a successful business takes more skills and resources than any one individual possesses. People need friendly partners to help then overcome daily obstacles that stand between them and their goals. Dust seems like such a minor thing, but causes all kinds of problems besides being unsightly. We are an easy partnership that will help keep your business running smoothly. Seeing the whole picture is the most important factor in achieving success. Don't be distracted by small and irrelevant things. Don't let dust provide that warm and fuzzy feeling in your place of business! Why Celebrate What a way to end the week! (A short week, at that) First off: It's Friday! The first day of a new month (Hello June) And, National Donut Day. Do you celebrate with a humble glazed donut or do you go for something more trendy? Whatever you choose this circular pastry is full of sweet satisfaction. Donuts are the perfect food: they don't require utensils to eat them. They are the perfect on-the-go food, they go great with coffee or you can use them for a snack or dessert. (Or all the above!) If you didn't get yours yet, don't worry there is still time. Many places are giving them away free today. And if you can't eat just one why not go to Bashas - where you can get an extra half a dozen donuts on Friday's when you purchase a dozen. (That little box they give you is perfect to put all those chocolaty delights together so they don't touch your other donuts.) Did you know that the Salvation Army actually started National Donut Day in 1938? Bashas is making a donation to them for every donut purchase today, so even more reasons to eat donuts without all the guilt. We are not affiliated with Bashas, but we do shop there a lot (They're local, just like us!) and their donut deal can't be beat. |
