For those little last minute details that you need to attend to like washing the "fancy" dishes and glasses.
Arrange things in the dishwasher so every dish will come out sparkling. Load plates with the dirty side facing center - where the spray is the strongest. Up or down? Forks - prongs up. Knives - blades down for safety. Spoons - some up, some down so they won't stick together. Keep platters along sides or back. Place glasses and mugs between the tines. Wine glasses should be placed between unbreakable items that will keep them from bumping or breaking. Be sure plastic items and lids are placed securely so they aren't dislodged and possibly exposed to the heating element where they could melt. I know how tempting it is to put in just a few more items, but try to resist because the spray water might not reach them. But, first of all - make sure all items are dishwasher safe!!! This is where being a control freak kicks in...Even if it says it is "dishwasher safe"and the item is special to me or has a design on it, I play it safe and wash it by hand. (Hence the 75 Disney mugs I love and want to keep nice.) Remember to enjoy the holiday with your loved ones. There are always pretty paper plates and plastic cups!

Thanksgiving is coming fast, and there's so many things for us to be thankful for... We're grateful for all the business offices, stores, warehouses and medical buildings that we provide janitorial services for. Our goal is to help make their hall decking and party planning less stressful by making the places they work at shimmer and shine. We also clean and disinfect all the usual places that people touch to keep the cold and flu germs away. Nobody has the time to be sick during this festive time of the year. We make it easy to check the cleaning off of your to-do list. Call or text us immediately for a free and easy quote. Have a marvelous Monday! Or as the weather forecasters have called it ~ a real "soaker"! My dogs refuse to step foot out the door as long as it is raining. So even though I have mentioned how to clean up the little surprises they create, I will give you a quick and simple three step clean up again.
I use grocery store shopping bags for the solid waste, and then I toss them out the back door to run to the trash when the rain has let up. (We refer to these as poop bombs!) And then usually a quick swipe of vinegar and water clean up anything else remaining. The sock soakers require just a few more ingredients that you should have around the house. Vinegar and water mixed in half and half solution, some baking soda and some towels or paper towels depending on how big the spot is. Blot up as much of the wetness as you can. Use your vinegar solution to do a little scrubbing with a towel, then blot again. Sprinkle on some baking soda and wait for it to dry - it might take a day or two. Then vacuum it up. There a probably a million different ways you can clean up pet stains! These are a quick and easy method that we use. As always, be sure to test these products on your carpet or floor if you have never used them before. Or you can always check with the manufacturer if you aren't sure and see what they recommend. Using all natural ingredients is important so we don't expose our precious pets to any harmful chemicals as they are at floor level and it will affect them much more than the humans. We are a pet friendly janitorial service! Feel free to call or text us for a cleaning quote for your office or work place. If you are in the Phoenix area, enjoy this wild and wet Wednesday! Range hood vents over the stove...that is.
This is probably one of the most overlooked areas in the kitchen that could use a quick spruce before all the holiday cooking starts. Mix two cups of white vinegar with hot water and 1/4 cup o grease-fighting dish soap. Soak for about 30 minutes. Use a scrub brush to lightly scrub off the residue, rinse with water until it runs clear. Air-dry and replace. (I have used the dishwasher in the past for this job, It doesn't come out as good as this method does however.) For kitchen/break-room cleaning in the workplace, be sure to call or text us for a price that will fit into your budget. We hope your Tuesday is over the top! UGH! Are you getting ready to set your holiday table and notice that you put your candle holder away last time with wax stuck in it?
Here are a few tips for the fastest and easiest way to take care of this sticky problem. Run steaming hot tap water over the holder and scoop out whatever's inside with a paper towel. If it is dishwasher-safe, you can let the machine do the rest. If it is not dishwasher-safe, you can put the holder in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This will make the wax brittle and you can use a dull knife to lift the wax out. ( I have used this method on the Bath & Bodywork's candles with the pretty holders I want to keep) Or, you could try your hair dryer on low heat to warm up the wax until it softens and peel it off. I hope this helps make your Monday shiny and bright! (I do not represent or get paid by Bath & Bodywork's, I just love their candles!) What is the first thing you focus on when entering someone's home?
I'm not quite sure why, but I tend to check out the baseboards. ( I do notice this in office buildings too!) Maybe because my own have been a challenge since we moved into this house. They appear to have ridges which can cause several different levels for dust to settle on. And although our business cleans many hundreds of square feet of baseboards on a regular basis, my home doesn't get the daily attention and when I do catch sight of them it drives me crazy! I am not judging people though (Well, maybe medical offices, but they should be clean!). Homes are different with so many areas of it needing constant attention, baseboards are actually a very small part of it. I came across an easy and cheap solution to this problem using baby wipes. Let these magical, pre-moistened wipes gently wipe away the dust and grime. You could have each member of the family choose a room to clean and be done in very little time. Or you could choose one room a day. Whatever works for you. And you simple throw the wipes away when you are done, no washing of rags or spray bottles to away. With the holidays fast approaching this is one of those simple things that you won't have to worry about people noticing. And, if your workplace happens to have hundreds of square feet of dusty, dirty baseboards, Call or text us for a free quick quote. We can help!
