Earth Day is this Sunday, April 22, 2018
Let's all show the planet we call home a little appreciation.  After all it is one of the few things that we all have in common.
There are many little things we can do to help the environment. 
Drink coffee from a mug instead of a Styrofoam cup.  Most recyclers will not take Styrofoam, so there's a good chance that cup will end up in a landfill.
Buy a ficus plant. These pollution-fighting plants can even remove formaldehyde from your home or office.  Formaldehyde can trigger a few problems such as headaches and breathing problems.
Check your air filters on a regular basis.  Changing them at least every three months will help keep your air clean, but can also save wear and tear on your equipment.
Skip the straw.  These seem to be adding to a lot of unnecessary waste lately.
Actually use the re-usable bags.  
Plant a tree.

There are probably a million ways you can be environmentally friendly by making a few easy changes to your daily routine.

It's that time of year again when you want to throw open your doors and windows to let in the fresh air.  But, then inevitably the itchy, watery eyes,  runny nose an sneezing starts for all of you who suffer from allergies.  (Doesn't the constant sniffing of a co-worker drive you crazy?)
It's not very often that you have a group of people together that at least one of them isn't an allergy sufferer.  So, it's time to stay on top of the spring cleaning so that your office doesn't become a trigger zone.
Brooms and feather dusters can kick up more dirt that they remove, so be sure to vacuum and wipe down flat surfaces with a damp cloth on a regular basis.  Blinds should be dusted once a month.  Many cleaners may charge extra for this, but well worth it for the time saved in valuable employee work days.   This also works on those spreadable germs that are lingering around that can cause colds.

I am lucky that I have a home office!  As I write this I have a dog in the doorway and a cat on the back of my chair  Although they can be a little messy at times, I don't have to cleanup coffee spills left by them and they interrupt me far less than the humans do!
