In our lives these two always seem to go hand in hand, I guess that is one of the quirks of owning your own business. You are your own boss, but with your clients you are not always the one in charge, because the customer is always right.

On early mornings when I drive my daughter to ice skating practice we pass a certain area that always smells like burnt toast. Our windows are rolled up and the a/c is on, so this must be a very strong odor wherever it is coming from. I wonder if this is a permanent smell or does someone get up everyday and burn their toast? Maybe it's just time for a new toaster, or they like their toast slightly darker? Bad smells can be irritating and can cause anxiety and mood swings. Luckily, she travels well as our local vet is located in Chandler. It takes us about an hour and two freeway systems to get there. We recently received the amazing news that one of the offices we used to clean for would like our company to clean for them again. We were attempting to go out of town for a quick weekend trip to celebrate Mother's Day, but our black lab, Calypso (Who has been known to steal loaves of bread and packages of frozen pork chops off the kitchen counter) decided she didn't want to eat on Thursday. We chose to stay close to home so we could watch her and not cause her any further stress by us not being home. She is a much loved member of our family so this wasn't a huge sacrifice. The vet recommended a special diet of rice and chicken until she was feeling better and I was able to feed her several smaller meals a day.

So, I started my work week off feeling behind, and I lost Monday, it very quickly got away from me. If you are looking for something a little closer to town. Queen Creek has it's annual Peach Festival at Schnepf Farms happening on Sunday where everything is peachy. We have not been out there yet,, but it sounds like they have a lot to do: peach picking, samples to try , rides to ride and over 150 vendors selling unique items. The Queen Creek Olive Mill is also a family owned olive farm and mill where you can buy fresh olive oil in different flavors. They offer many different events throughout the year, as well as a Mother's Day brunch. Although we are in Queen Creek several nights a week, we don't really get a chance to see how much they have to offer. I see a day trip in our very near future! (These are merely suggestions (Or hints, wink wink)for things to do, we are not supported by any of these businesses.) We hope everybody has a great rest of their Friday.
