Wicked window washer

Need a quick and easy natural window washing solution in a hurry?
Mix one cup of water with one cup of distilled white vinegar and pour into a spray bottle.
Wipe off loose dust from the window pane and window with a paper towel.
Then mist entire window with window solution and wipe off.
I have found this solution to work weirdly well.
Have a wonderfully, witchy Wednesday!

is cleaning making you moan?

Super duper scrubbers are coming out in all shapes and sizes.
Mr. Clean magical erasers work well all over your home and garage.  For tackling tough messes there is a longer lasting foam sponge that has a curved edge to help give you a better grip.  I just used them on white tennis shoes that were really dingy and they look new again.  They last longer too!
They also offer magic eraser sheets which can get in those hard to reach areas.  I have found these work great around bathroom sinks.  They are thinner and more flexible sheets that are pretty durable.
Be sure to follow all the directions on the package.

pumpkin spice and everything nice

Pumpkin spice is in everything from shaving cream to Spam.
Does this make your mouth water?  Or does it make you want to gag?
I'm kind of in the middle, I don't require pumpkin spice on everything, but a nice pumpkin spice frappuccino is always a good thing!
I didn't want to feel left out not using something pumpkin this time of year, and since we don't use it clean with.  i figured I would write about cleaning your carved pumpkin in order to make it last a little longer.
Things you will need:
Bleach
Water
Bucket or container large enough to hold your pumpkin  (I used an ice chest)

First, carve your beautiful or spooky design into your pumpkin and rinse the gunk out with water.
Fill your large container with three gallons of water
Stir in three teaspoons of bleach
Dunk your pumpkin - you might need to hold it down so it doesn't float.  Hold under water for two minutes.  (Gloves might be handy)
Remove pumpkin and let it air dry.
Bleach contains Sodium Hypochlorite which kills microorganisms that make pumpkins rot and helps dry it out.  This method can help your pumpkin last up to 10 days with minimal decay.

out & about

While at a local movie theater this past weekend, I noticed an employee cleaning and refilling the toilet paper rolls in the restroom.  She had all the extra toilet paper stacked up on the bathroom floor and was refilling the holders from that pile.
This was extremely unsanitary, but I doubt that she had been properly trained in how to clean the restroom or how to go about refilling paper receptacles.
Does this make you think twice about using their toilet paper to blow your nose?  Half of the people in the theater were coughing and sneezing during the movie,  and with it being cold and flu season, just think of all the germs that roll of toilet paper was in contact with.

Do you get your flu shot every year?  Many don't and leave it open to contaminate others around them.  Getting immunized is one way to protect yourself and those you care about.
The flu spreads when a person comes into contact with respiratory droplets contaminated by influenza.  A simple sneeze or cough can survive on a surface for up to 24 hours.  Tables, sinks and door knobs are just a few items that we touch on a daily basis.  In a work environment these germs can spread quickly.  You can get sick by touching your face after touching a contaminated surface or by breathing in germs that are airborne.
Protect your co-workers, family and friends by washing your hands frequently.
If you are looking for a cleaning service that will go above and beyond to help keep your work environment clean and germ free.  Contact us today and learn how we can work together to protect your employees and clients.
