Pumpkin spice is in everything from shaving cream to Spam.
Does this make your mouth water? Or does it make you want to gag? I'm kind of in the middle, I don't require pumpkin spice on everything, but a nice pumpkin spice frappuccino is always a good thing! I didn't want to feel left out not using something pumpkin this time of year, and since we don't use it clean with. i figured I would write about cleaning your carved pumpkin in order to make it last a little longer. Things you will need: Bleach Water Bucket or container large enough to hold your pumpkin (I used an ice chest) First, carve your beautiful or spooky design into your pumpkin and rinse the gunk out with water. Fill your large container with three gallons of water Stir in three teaspoons of bleach Dunk your pumpkin - you might need to hold it down so it doesn't float. Hold under water for two minutes. (Gloves might be handy) Remove pumpkin and let it air dry. Bleach contains Sodium Hypochlorite which kills microorganisms that make pumpkins rot and helps dry it out. This method can help your pumpkin last up to 10 days with minimal decay.
