How are your resolutions going?
Are you going to keep fit this year? Eat better? Get more sleep? Exercise can help you find balance in your life. What makes you want to move your body...running, hiking, dancing, working out and lifting weights? Stay active with whatever works for you and makes you happy. Eat well and eat often! Don't skip meals and remember the better and cleaner you eat, the better you will feel. AND, drink plenty of water. (This is a tough one to just jump right into after the holidays. I would much rather ease into all of it and take it one day at a time. You can't just cut me off from all of the "junk" food that I tasted last month.) If you have any ideas on how to make this transition easier, please let me know. Once you have started all that hard work, be sure to get a good night's sleep. Your body gets in it's recovery time during sleep - the shorter amount of time you sleep the less recovery you will get. Set Goals They create a purpose and give you direction and motivation. Evaluate them periodically to check your progress. You can always update and change them as you see fit. Let it Go Don't beat yourself up by dwelling on the past...learn from it and move on. Don't let negative self-talk take control, the more you continue it the worse it gets. Believe in yourself!
