The internet has made it easier to be an independent small business owner by allowing you to connect with other people all over the country. It allows you access to information and resources that you can use on a daily basis. You will get nowhere however, if you think your job is less important than anyone else. Self-doubt has no place in the small business world. Be confident! In our line of work, we encounter many people who look for reasons to say no, or to make us feel as though we are not worthy of their consideration or respect. Although some of the people who have worked for us in the past have had multiple college degrees in all different lines of work, such as engineers, physicians assistants and entrepreneurs who are building their own businesses. They just needed a little extra financial help in order to pay off student loans, braces for their kids teeth or to catch up on bills after they were laid off from their more"important" jobs. I remember a college professor saying many years ago that Campbell's soup and Janitorial services were something that would never go unneeded. (Yes, you can have a college education and run a janitorial company!) Your business success has everything to do with how your perceive yourself. Do not let people keep you from working towards your goals. Determination and drive will help you achieve you goals, and when you reach those... set new goals. Don't let someone with a fancy job title take away your passion for what you do. Be kinder Just be nice to everyone. Support people, support their dreams ~ even if you can't help, a few words of encouragement are always welcome.
