Monsoon storms brought wind, lightening, and heavy rain to parts of the valley again over the weekend. It's sad when these powerful storms cause so much damage when they strike. Weather alerts on our phones seem to be going off all the time this summer. These storms always seem to leave a dirty, gritty mess behind that require a few extra chores: sweeping the sidewalk, more than usual leaf and debris cleaning and pool float retrieval in the yard, car washing (of course), and those darn windows.
Hopefully, you didn't have to much extra work to perform because to these powerful storms. If you want to give your house (or business) a quick boost, clean the windows. If you run out of window cleaner - try this quick, easy and inexpensive stand-by. MIX IT YOURSELF - GLASS CLEANER 2 cups water 1/2 cup of white or apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup (70%) rubbing alcohol Combine ingredients together in a squirt bottle. Spray on paper towel or soft cloth then wipe off windows or mirrors. Remember not to clean windows in the direct sunlight - it will dry to quickly and cause streaks. This mixture is environmentally friendly and works well on windows and mirrors. We use it all the time at home and for our business to remove finger prints, dirt and the dog's nose art. The weather people predict that the monsoon have about a month and a half to go, so make up a few bottles of this DIY glass cleaner and you will be ready to keep those windows clean. May your Monday sparkle!
