Shattered
Occasionally, our best laid plans get shattered like bulb off of the Christmas tree. Our cat, who isn't allowed on the kitchen counter tops, overreacted to our dogs running thru the house. She jumped on the counter top for protection and knocked off the large breakable glass container we keep dry dog food in. I suppose that was payback for them scaring her! Anyway, I think the empty jar broke into a million pieces. Since every nook and cranny needed to be swept and vacuumed, I took advantage of everything being pulled out to do some extra cleaning. I grabbed the baby wipes that I talked about before and wiped down the baseboards. The floor sometimes gets things stuck in the grout, so I swept that thoroughly. Even the walls by the trash can gets a little messy at times when our free throws don't hit the trash can. The baby wipes were handy in this situation also for some unknown spills that had splashed on the cabinet doors that were haphazardly cleaned up without my knowledge. (It's probably better that I didn't know!) So, even though this cleaning was much further down on my to-do list, I was able to take advantage of this unforeseen circumstance and make my kitchen sparkle! If your team of Merry makers leave you with an unexpected mess, take advantage of what little extras you can do while dealing with it. If this happens at your office, call or text us. We are great at life's little unforeseen messes.
