Last week my husband (The "R" of R&S Commercial Cleaning Service) let his seasonal allergies go until they became a full-fledged sinus infection. Since we are in the midst of training a new hire, I offered to go into work with him to help him out. I generally get up around 5 or 6 in the morning due to many years of getting kids off to school and early morning ice skating lessons. So, needless to say working nights is really not my thing!
Janitorial work is very hard, monotonous and extremely warm when you are moving quickly, because many offices turn off their A/C units or turn them up during the night time hours to save money. (Imagine being in your place of work with little or no air movement.) Even though we started this business together 36 years ago, he is still a very hard working part of the everyday cleaning. And though I still have my skills as a cleaner (a little rusty, however) he is annoyingly meticulous with every detail of cleaning. It's no secret that everyone and their brother-in-law thinks they can clean. But, to put in this hard of work requires a lot of hard work and a little luck. Persistence, perseverance and determination are all part of our everyday work ethic. Hard work seems to be dying art form! But, if you want a janitorial service with an owner who is accommodating, pleasant and very picky to detail, Ron is the right one to call.
