As the month of May winds down, I reflect back on how busy this month has been. Our youngest daughter graduated from high school this week. This was a very emotional and happy time for our family. Pep talks to get her through pre-calc finals, coffee runs to keep her focused. Clothes shopping to find the perfect dress for graduation, and let's not even mention the endless shoe shopping. We purchased three pairs of shoes, some that looked great with the first dress, while others we bought were perfect for the second dress. When it came time for the commencement ceremony itself, her perfect dress was covered up by her gown! But, her shoes looked gorgeous...
Although she does not wish to follow in the family business, I think she has learned a few things about being your own boss, such as ambition. She set her sights high in order to receive a 4.0 grade average - and she did it! In order to survive in any business, you must be industrious, she is extremely hard working and diligent in order to get things done. Her enthusiasm is contagious as she sets forth to conquer the world. Keeping it local...She has chosen to attend an AZ State University in the fall. She received several scholarships from various schools in different states. But, as we all know "a full ride" comes with many hidden charges and fees. Our locally owned janitorial service allowed us to send all three of our girls to college. We have had many struggles along the way and expect to pay for college tuition for many years to come. We will strive to stay focused, sticking to our priorities and goals and hopefully have some fun along the way.
