You may not notice when a store, restaurant, or office is squeaky clean, but you will notice a dirty one – whether there is a buildup of dust in the corners or coffee stains on the tables or desks. You will notice.
People entering convenience stores or restaurants make a connection between the cleanliness of restrooms and the other parts of the facility. If they find restrooms that are unsanitary, smell badly or are poorly stocked with supplies, they are much likely to never return. They might be inclined to tell their friends and family of their negative experience. Have you ever eaten at a restaurant that had fantastic food and stopped by the restroom on your way out to discover that it was dirty, smelly, or out of something? Is this how they run the rest of their place of business? Unfortunately, that’s what you will remember and probably not go back. You have expectations when entering a place of business. You expect it to be safe, clean, and comfortable. When it’s not, it will leave a lasting impression and make you not want to go back. Don’t let your customers have a bad impression of your business imprinted in their mind. Show that you have pride in your work place. Hire someone who knows what they are doing. Have a happy Wednesday!
